The Psalmist once said “If not for God,where would i have been ?”

The christian is like a soldier fighting in the midst of a landfills laced with hidden explosives in every square meter he walks.

God of righteous Enoch has not changed,He still bestows His righteousness on many today.

To the believer who has signed up for heaven,his daily life is battle,battle,battle.

I want to say,reader that we are been constantly beseiged on every front today,Satan and his workers are deploring every arsenal against the believer today,from busy schedules,to sin on TV ,interent and newspapers,tempting work colleagues,friends and even our own families,everywhere we turn today we see change and decay,sin is been normalized and righteousness demonized,we are been offered humongous options inorder that we may sell our soul.

Christian,we are been besieged,the enemy has carefully surrounded us in every front,we are at war. We are at war with ourselves,the world and the devil. This is the battle for our souls, our eternity and unless we are upheld by His invisible arm,we must suffer defeat.

Dear reader,do not get too busy as not to always place your life under this divine arm,God is sufficient for our battles,in all you do,remember His Invisible arms.

BETTER TO ROT IN PRISON

Sometimes one may suffer for right doing but the Bible has promised us great rewards irrespective of the reactions to our actions.

Better to rot in prison than to sin against God,Joseph a young man with great dreams out of envy was sold as a slave into a foreign land,left to die,God rescued him,here is Portiphar looking for slaves to buy,he spotted this young lad and thought within himself that it would be a wonderful decision to have this boy as a slave,time proved to Portiphar that Joseph could not only be trusted with responsibilities but the very things that pertain to Portiphars life.

Scriptures could record that Joseph was so faithful that Portiphar knew not what he had except his daily bread because he had a faithful man.

It’s like having $500 millions dollars in business and you don’t bother yourself with account reportings nor are you afraid that this man may one day murder you or claim your company.

He was so so faithful,one day the devil had had enough of this faithful man,he arranged that he been tempted with an offer many today won’t reject,Portiphar’s wife herself offered him the opportunity to sin against his God, he bluntly refused but we all know the devil is persistent in his ways.

It was one sunny afternoon,everyone at the house have gone about their daily business,Joseph had just returned home from the field,this woman grabbed him by the clothes and demanded Joseph had intimate relations with her,the God fearing Joseph saw that this woman will not comply despite he begging her that this was a sin against God,he had no option to flee the house with no clothes on him.

Better to lose your clothes than lose your salvation.

This woman would not let go,she lied that innocent Joseph had attempted to rape her,she even showed whoever cared to listen an evidence of Joseph clothes,how could anyone believe the testimony of Joseph when his very clothes were in the hand of this woman.

They had no CCTV cameras in their day but Heaven,Joseph and Portiphar’s wife knew what happened,though Portiphar found it hard to believe the story,he still had to act because it was his very wife who was been supposedly “victimised” and who is also testifying.

Now,Joseph stripped of his position,authority and freedom,is confined to the prison with other fellows,as God would have it,the latter years of Joseph saw him move from that prison to the palace in a single day.

He was appointed the second in command after Pharoah,he forgave his brother and reunited with the whole family,indeed God is great.

Many today are in persecution,prison because they choose righteousness.

Many are unemployed today because they choose the path of righteousness.

Oh how many saints were fed to lions in days gone by because they refuse to deny their God. Once a disciple of the beloved apostle,John was arrested and asked to deny Christ,he replied “Sirs,i have known this Jesus for over 85 years,He has not done me ill,how can i deny him”,he refused and was burnt.

Many may not suffer such cruel treatments but may suffer dire consequences for their stand of rightteousness.

But while should a man choose to suffer for his believe,the answer is simple,they have believed a God,an eternity with him and how transient life is,they have come to terms with the vanity of living for this world and resolved by God’s help to live for the country whose builder and maker is God,these men know Christ by actual experience and not feelings,they breath,think and live for eternity. They have seen and heard of the horrors of an eternal hell and the comforts of an eternal heaven with God,therefore at any cost,they have resolved to enter the kindgom of God.

They rather die than sin against God,they must enter the kinddom through much tribulations

Act14:22 Confirming the souls of the disciples, and exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God.

This is what sums their life

Heb 11:33 Who through faith subdued kingdoms, wrought righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions,

Heb 11:34 Quenched the violence of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, out of weakness were made strong, waxed valiant in fight, turned to flight the armies of the aliens.

Heb 11:35 Women received their dead raised to life again: and others were tortured, not accepting deliverance; that they might obtain a better resurrection:

Heb 11:36 And others had trial of cruel mockings and scourgings, yea, moreover of bonds and imprisonment:

Heb 11:37 They were stoned, they were sawn asunder, were tempted, were slain with the sword: they wandered about in sheepskins and goatskins; being destitute, afflicted, tormented;

Heb 11:38 (Of whom the world was not worthy:) they wandered in deserts, and in mountains, and in dens and caves of the earth.

WHEN THE KNIFE CUTS DEEP AND THE PAIN IS SORE

If there is anything,men seek to avoid ,that thing is pain. We do all the papers,read all the books,book that appointment,talk to that person,we do everything because we cannot stand pain.

When a person is doing bad or just commited ill,society says don’t put pain to his heart by correcting him,say nice words to him please.

I will follow everywhere,one fellow enthusiastically said to Christ,really replied Jesus but i have no place to lay my head,he could not stand the pain of leaving a “certain” present for an “uncertain” future.

Another said,master what must i do to enter heaven,Jesus replied “obey the commandments”,he replied Lord,i have done all but what do i still lack?, Jesus answered him “Sir Sell all you have and come follow me”,that was too big a decision to make,the scriptures said he went home sad.

Zacchaeus today i must abide at your house,Jesus told Zacchaeus

And Zacchaeus stood, and said unto the Lord; Behold, Lord, the half of my goods I give to the poor; and if I have taken anything from any man by false accusation, I restore him fourfold. Luke 19:8

This thing is hard for many,Zacchaeus had to restore all he has wrongly acquired,it meant he will have to subject himself to ridicule,he may have to step down from his position,he may even become bankrupt because of this decision,he may lose most of his friends,the world will call him crazy,he was resolute,he had decided for Jesus

Many want to follow Jesus and still continue to receive money from men who they had a sinful past with,many want to follow Jesus and still keep a job they acquired through bribery and corruption,many want to follow Jesus and still want to be working with a certificate/diploma they acquired falsely.

These fellows are deceived,they want to follow Jesus with no cost,they want to get to heaven land at the cheapest rate,they adjudge the message of sin and righteousness as stern and unfriendly.

Week after week ,they sing “I have decided to follow Jesus”,bu their life contradict their lips,they are not prepared to give up that sin inorder to follow Jesus,they are not prepared to fight the Lord’s battle in this age,they are delusioned.

Except the Lord show this fellows extreme mercy,doom sall be their sure end.

They are almost saved but lost,they are not far from the kingdom,they are at the door of the kingdom but will not enter.

They like the saints of days gone by,they read their biographies but want their results at a cost less than what they paid.

These fellow have designed their own Jesus,they cannot stand pain but soon shall gain hell

Rev 3:17 Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:

Rev 3:18 I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see. Rev 3:19 As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.

The Lord is gracious to all,he will give certain things to all but limits certain things and privileges to his children.

The living room and other rooms are open to all but the bedroom and certain rooms are restricted to only some persons.

God has chosen us not because we chose him.

Friends,it is a privilege to be among God’s chosen

Your privileges outweighs that of a prince but the eternal God who has chosen you is the king over all the earth.

Your responsibilities outweigh that of the number one in your nation,your responsibilities are far graver than any other.

He has prepared for His Chosen treasures yet unseen and unheard of.

He will not restrain any good thing,his chosen ones need from them.

Beloved,take it with all joy,for the eternal God has chosen you from among all the earth

You are a chosen generation and Royal priesthood

TROUBLES,TROUBLES,TROUBLES

Man that is born of a woman,his days are few and full of troubles

A man once erected a sculpture in honour of his son who died in his infancy,he wrote in his epitaph,

“Though i am sorrowful for your demise”

“We are glad that you have escaped the troubles of this world”

A man working in the UN once approached a popular preacher,he said “We have tried so hard to unite nations,to solve human problems but we have failed miserably”.

There is trouble everywhere,there is famine,hunger,wars,terrorism,drugs,crime,unemployment,depression,divorce,firearms and lots more than threaten the human race today but of all these,humans themselves are the greatest threat to human existence everywhere.

There is trouble in our homes,trouble in our streets,trouble in the office,trouble in our nation,trouble even in the church,we are grappling with more than we can ever happen but where did all troubles began,what happened,can we find a cure,can we find peace in the midst of these troubles.

Man knew no trouble,he dwelt in the estate of utopia,perfect peace was what characterized his life,he lived day to day knowing no trouble but he was not careful as to live within the confines of laid down laws.

He lived in God country,sustained by God’s providence and ruled by God;s laws but one day he acted against the laws of the country,the king in that country felt slighted and insulted by his actions and banished him forever out of his country,before he left he took away his priviledges and blessings and pronounced on him the curse of troubles upon troubles.

Thousands of years went by but one thing sticked with man: that thing was trouble.

He did all he could,yet trouble continued with him,he tried religion,still trouble did not go,h gave education and philosophy a try,it even worsened his trouble,he sought relief in things like success,drugs,pleasure but they were all mirage.

One day,the King decided to come to the rescue of man,he sent his “only son” to come correct the situation and restore the relationship he onced had with the King.

This He died at the expense of His life,why he did not take trouble entirely from the human race,he brought peace and restoration to those who will accept His offer.

Reader,that King is God,His Son is Jesus and the Man is you and i,if you accept his wonderful gift of life,He will give you His peace and help you through your troubles.

IS IT POSSIBLE?

One of the most remarkable moments in the interaction between believers is the moment when they get to share their conversion stories. We are left with one statement — is it possible?

Yes,it is possible that God finds delight in the pursuit of the vile and despicable of society,oh yes it is possible that God can save cannibals,yes it is possible that God can save murders,adulterers,fornicators,thieves and the abominable.

The blood of Jesus is so powerful that any sin that comes in contact with it is purged and forgiven,this blood does not discriminate between sins or class of sinners,anyone who truly believes and begs for God’s forgiveness and truly repents is purified by the blood.

Yes,Jesus is saving many today and it is possible that he can save you.

Another question about Is it possible? Is the issue of whether God can intervene you in your situation,maybe you have a sickness that can’t be diagnosed or treated by the doctors,maybe it’s an issue with a broken heart or marriage,maybe it’s your finance,maybe it’s a legal case or unemployment,whatever it is,our God does not only have the power to forgive sins but also to change unpleasant situations for our good.

If we come to Him,He will help us.

Let’s this be your motto,God can do all things because he is all powerful

Pride is a person having too high an opinion

of himself.

Pride is the first sin that ever entered into the

universe, and the last sin that is rooted out.

Pride is the worst sin. It is the most secret of

all sins. There is no other matter in which the

heart is more deceitful and unsearchable. Alas,

how much pride the best have in their hearts!

Pride is God’s most stubborn enemy! There is no

sin so much like the devil as pride. It is a secret

and subtle sin, and appears in a great many

shapes which are undetected and unsuspected.

“I hate pride and arrogance!” Proverbs 8:13

“The Lord detests all the proud of heart. Be sure

of this: They will not go unpunished.” Prov. 16:5

Do not be proud of your fine feathers!

Behold here a sacred riddle or paradox—“God was manifest

in the flesh.” That man should be made in God’s image, was

a wonder—but that God should be made in man’s image, is

a greater wonder!

That the Ancient of Days—should be born;

that He who thunders in the heavens—should cry in the cradle;

that He who rules the stars—should suck the breast;

that Christ should be made of a woman—and of that

woman which He Himself made;

that the mother should be younger than the child she bore;

this is the most astonishing miracle! “God was manifest in

the flesh” is a mystery we shall never fully understand until

we come to heaven, when our light shall be clear, as well as

our love perfect.

“He humbled Himself and became obedient to

death—even death on a cross!” Philippians 2:8

“God made Him who had no sin—to be sin for us!”

2 Corinthians 5:21

This was the lowest degree of Christ’s humiliation.

That Christ, who would not endure sin in the angels,

should endure to have sin imputed to Himself—is the

most amazing humility that ever was!

Christian! Learn to be humble! Do you see Christ humbling

Himself—and are you proud? It is the humble saint, who is

Christ’s picture! Christians, do not be proud of your fine

feathers! Have you an estate? Do not be proud. The earth

you tread on, is richer than you! It has mines of gold and

silver in its depths. Have you beauty? Do not be proud. It

is but water mingled with dirt! Have you skill and abilities?

Be humble. Lucifer has more knowledge than you! Have you

grace? Be humble. It is not of your own making—it was

given to you by God. You have more sin than grace; more

spots than beauty.

Oh look on Christ—this rare pattern of humility—and be

humbled! It is a sad sight, to see God humbling Himself

—and man exalting himself; to see a humble Savior—and

a proud sinner! God hates the very semblance of pride!

The scriptures must be taken seriously but when the scripture is highlighted in red depicting the very sayings of Jesus,we must be extra cautious.

Ten men among the many invited for a wedding decided to gather at a common point in order to wait for the bride but problems from logistics etc created delay,there had not planned for such delay and finally the bride was there but few moments before His arrival,some of the men had gone out to buy materials to fill their vessels but by the time they returned,they were shocked that they were locked out and denied entrance.

Here are some few lessons to learn

Firstly,Jesus is warning against “THIS WILL DO ” attitude,the foolish virgins in this story thought it unwise to carry “extra” oil.

We must note here that all the virgins had oils in different quantities.

He is warning us that we must seek to continually receive from the throne of grace because none knows how long the journey will take.

Christians,we have a certain journey and destination before us and an uncertain route and time of arrival before us.

Richard Wurmbrand gave the story of some believers in communist prisons who had not seen a bible for long years but the scripture read and memorize was what kept them going.

A group of believers were cast into prison for their faith,one day they decided to write their own Bible in prison but to their utter amazement,many of them could not even write up to ten verses.

The Lord is saying His people must prepare for the days of uncertainties in the days of certainties and opportunities..

To the young man who is single,he is saying give your all because the days of uncertainties are looming.

It is not enough to believe and have faith,the scripture urges us to be diligent in our faith and to grow in grace

For this very reason,make every effort to supplement your faith with goodness,goodness with knowledge, knowledge with self control,self control with endurance,endurance with godliness,godliness with brotherly affection and brotherly affection with love.

For if these qualities are yours and increasing,they will keep you being useless or unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

The person who who lacks these things is blind and shortsighted and has forgotten the cleansing from his past sins.

Therefore,brothers make every effort to confirm your calling and election because if you do these things will never stumble. 2 Peter 1:5-10

To the one who has opportunity,He is saying use your opportunity,to the one who has health,the Lord is calling for extra.

Many believers have lost victories because they relaxed and were complacent,

Believer if you are reading one verse per day,increase to two

If you are praying for 5 mins per day,increase it to ten

If you are reaching one soul for God per day,increase it to two

If you are sharing about Jesus on the internet once per day,increase it to two.

The Lord is saying, Don’t settle,Don’t relax. The athlete knows he must train better and harder today than yesterday,the wealthy knows that wealth like every other resource depletes with time,so they commit to acquire more,the believer must commit to acquire more of God in this days of vexation.

Secondly,the Lord is calling us to examine our records. Are you really a Christian? Does the record of heaven says so? Since you believed,how much have the Kingdom of God benefitted from your life? How much depth and height of God’s knowledge do you possess?

Will your today professed faith stand the trying times of tomorrow?

Only dishonest traders are afraid of keeping records and the one who is an hypocrite will not look at the man in the mirror,for he prefers to live a life of lie

Thirdly,the Lord is calling us to do away with the spirit of procrastination in our life as it pertains to our earthly and eternal life. Many of those who were adjudged foolish could have been aware of their state that they lacked extra oil,they knew what they had to do,they knew where they had to go to buy extra oil but they were complacent and procrastinating.

Many know they should put things right but they are postponing such,many know what to do but they refuse to do,to such group of people,the people calls them FOOLISH

Fourth,the Lord is calling us to part away with assumptions,assumption is the mother of frustration,the fuel gauge in your car is there you the current level of fuel in your car,you get to make the decision to buy extra fuel for your journey or not,all cars are required to have a fire extinguisher,all drivers and passengers are required to put on the seat belt.

The reasons for all these is because,you may never know when compliance with such rules may prove a life saver.

Never assume. Always check,over check,double check,assumptions have no place in the face of consequences.

Fifth,like in Jesus parable,the foolish will always be among us,they may sing with us,eat with us,pray with us but their heart is not with us,the end shall reveal them.

But if we are careful to do some introspection,we may identify them and give them the necessary help they need,all the while,the foolish were with the wise,they never asked key and important questions,the wise themselves were not thoughtful to have asked about their spiritual welfare,let the wise remembers that the foolish will never take care of their state but we owe them the divine responsibility to ask after their spiritual wellbeing else they blood may be on our hands.

Many are going through the church to hell while because we assume that all who are present in the four walls of the church are okay,many are carrying their burdens alone,many have gone to their vomit,many are viewing and engaging in many abominable acts ,many are with us but they hearts are not with us,many have fallen yet we are unaware.

Brothers,if someone is caught in any wrongdoing,you are spiritual should restore such a person with a gentle spirit watching out for yourselves so you won’t be tempted Gal 6:1

Virgins(Christians) let not your lamp be empty of oil,make every effort to always have the extra oil.
